Deborah Ann Moritz, of Newport, departed this life on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at the age of 64. She was born June 26, 1956, in Stuttgart, the daughter of Marvin Charles and Helen Eileen (Inman) Moritz.
Deborah was a 1974 graduate of Stuttgart High School. In her early 20’s, she moved to Dallas, Texas, where she worked as a secretary for the famous architect, I.M. Pei, and modeled at Dallas Apparel Mart. During her lifetime, Deborah also lived in Chicago and Miami for a time. Later on, she decided to join American Airlines as an international flight attendant, retiring after 34 years of service. Following retirement, Deborah moved to Newport to be close to her mother.
Deborah loved spending time with her family, especially her mother, and her nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Stuttgart, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Charles Moritz; grandparents, Gilbert and Mary Jane Inman and Otto and Bertha Moritz; and her beloved dog, Kiki.
Deborah is survived by her mother, Helen Inman Moritz of Newport; one sister, Julie Moss and husband, Bill, of Newport; one niece, Jenny (Moss) Brungart and husband, Eric of Flower Mound, Texas; one nephew, Beau Moss and wife, Sara, of Newport; great-niece and nephew, Margo Brungart and Nate Moss, whom she loved very much. Also, surviving are her dog, Kookie, many extended family, and a lifetime of friends.
