Rural Independence County crash claims life of Missouri man Tuesday morning

Independence County Sheriff Shawn Stephens responded to an accident in rural Independence County Tuesday morning on Red Cut Road west of Limedale Road.

According to Stephens, a northbound 2018 Kenworth was traveling on Red Cut Road when the vehicle left the roadway while negotiating a curve and overturned in a roadside ditch.

The driver, identified as James F. Adams Jr., 66 of Archie, Mo., was killed in the crash.

The fatality report states the road was dry, and the weather was clear at the time of the accident.

The fatality was the 382nd on Arkansas roadways this year.
