On its Facebook page Saturday morning, officials from the Cedar Ridge School District posted that classes K-5 are to be quarantined indefinitely due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19. The district said in a post that the employee tested positive Thursday, Sept. 3.
Saturday afternoon, the district posted that a second employee has also tested positive. The district said that students and employees considered “possible or close contacts” with the employee will be contacted.
Earlier Saturday, the district said the quarantine for the elementary students and staff would have a length of 14 days, but not long after the initial post, the district said after further contact with the Arkansas Department of Education, the quarantine would instead be indefinite.
