Obituary: Ruby Jean Fair

Ruby Jean Fair, 79 of Batesville, departed this life on Monday, September 7, 2020. She was born on December 31, 1940, in Batesville to John Lawrence Clements and Zelma Clairene Scott.

Ruby was a teacher at Mt. Pleasant School for over 30 years and taught the 5th grade.

She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Batesville.  She was strong in her faith, loved to read, work crossword puzzles, and travel.  Ruby was an inspiration to all, especially her family.

She was preceded in death by her father and an infant sister.

Ruby is survived by her mother, Zelma Scott; a son, Randall Fair and Heather, of Cushman; two daughters, Zana Wigginton, and husband Lee, of Cave City, Jennifer Slisher, and husband Adrian Burrows, of Lonoke; her brothers, John Clements, and wife Ila, of Batesville, Henry Clements of Southside; grandchildren, Danielle Esteb, Steven Fair, Russell Halfacre, Austin Wigginton, Aaron Wigginton, Amber Wigginton, Joshua Wigginton, Ian Slisher, Lana Slisher;  and one great-grandchild, Levi Esteb.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
