Head-on collision claims lives of two men in rural Fulton County

Two men were killed in a head-on collision Sunday night in rural Fulton County.

According to the Arkansas State Police Preliminary Fatal Crash Summary, a 2003 Chevrolet Blazer driven by William Hobbs, 79, of Ash Flat, was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 62, just east of Agnos, Ark., around 8 p.m., when it crossed the centerline and struck a 2013 Ford Escape, driven by Terry Carr, 68, of Manila, Ark., that was traveling eastbound on the highway, causing a “front to front” collision.

Trooper Jason Long noted the weather conditions were clear, and the road was dry.
