If you haven’t registered to vote, your time to do so is running out.

The law says the last day to register to vote in the Nov. 3 general election is 30 days before. And, this year that is Monday, Oct. 5, 2020.

Early voting starts on Oct. 19. You’ll be able to vote Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., except the last day when voting stops at 5 p.m.

On early voting Saturdays, you can do that between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

There are 21,730 registered voters in Independence County as of Oct. 1. The number is right at 9,000 and counting in Stone County, and there are 8,877 registered voters in Izard County.
