The Mountain View Yellowjackets suffered their second conference loss of the season, 42-0 to the Newport Greyhounds.

The Yellowjackets struggled to get anything going offensively as they were limited to 117 yards of total offense.

One positive note for Mountain View defensively was forcing three turnovers on the night, fumble recoveries by Josh Shipman and Zach Hulsey, and an interception by J’Air Jackson but the Greyhound offense proved too strong in the victory.

Mountain View falls to 4-3 overall on the season and 0-2 in conference play while Newport improved to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in conference play.

Mountain View is off next week and is slated to resume action Oct. 23 against Salem.
