Obituary: Charles Ray Taylor

Charles Ray Taylor, 83 of Cave City died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, at his home.

He was born April 11, 1937, in Enville, Tennessee to James Ervin and Mary Reeda (Bishop) Taylor.

He attended Chester County High School in Henderson, Tennessee, and was of the Baptist faith.

He retired from DuPont Chemical in Memphis, Tennessee.  Upon retirement, he moved to Cave City and enjoyed raising cattle, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.  He enjoyed sports and watching Fox News.

He was preceded was death by his parents and one sister, Lori Millican.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Geraldine “Geri” Dickey Taylor of the home; two sons, Michael Wayne Taylor (Barbara) of Parker, Colorado and Keith Taylor (Melissa) of Poughkeepsie; two daughters, Tracey Lee (Rick) of Wasilla, Alaska and Stacey Davis (Marshal) of Brighton, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Caitlin Pavlinek, Boone Taylor, Nathan Hodges, Ethan Taylor, Eli Taylor, Gavin Davis and Aubrey Davis; two great-grandchildren, Jude Hodges and Westin Pavlinek and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
