M & P Community Bancshares is pleased to announce that Jamie Chapman has joined the Merchants and Planters Bank team as Assistant Vice President – Loan Officer.
Chapman (pictured) will be responsible for managing commercial and consumer loans and establishing and maintaining business relationships in Newport, Batesville, and the surrounding areas. He brings three years of service in the banking and lending industry to the organization.

Chapman has a Bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Arkansas System Eversity. In his free time, Chapman enjoys golf, softball, and spending time with his wife Angela and their two young children. He also serves on the worship team at his church, where he plays the drums.
