Three occupants of a vehicle were recently arrested on a variety of drug charges in Izard County.

According to a release from the Izard County Sheriff’s Department, Chief Deputy Charley Melton reported the Arkansas State Police made the arrests after a Dec. 27 traffic stop on a vehicle near Pineville for improper window tinting. When the trooper approached the vehicle, he reported the smell of marijuana, so the officer made a search.

The release said the vehicle’s driver, Jesse Bowman (pictured above, far right), 31, of Norfork, was found to have a container in his pocket that had THC wax inside. A passenger, Jolynn Mandel (pictured above, center), 36, of Norfork, was found to have a warrant for her arrest from another jurisdiction, while a second passenger, Brandon Stanley (pictured above, far left), 47, of Pineville, was on active parole, the release said.

A search of the vehicle also found numerous baggies, scales, marijuana, methamphetamine, a syringe, and a glass smoking device, according to the release.

Each has been charged with six felony counts from possession of meth to possession of meth for the purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia to accomplish the delivery and the use.

Each has been placed on a $30,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on Jan. 20.
