Deputy finds mail strewn along Batesville Boulevard ditch line

A reserve deputy from the Independence County Sheriff’s Department reported finding numerous pieces of mail belonging to multiple businesses in a ditch line along Batesville Boulevard, according to a release Thursday morning from Sheriff Shawn Stephens.

The release noted the mail has been returned to the businesses and rightful owners. Stephens said if you find your mailbox has been damaged in the last few days, to please contact his office at (870) 793-8838 or by dropping by the department, located at 1750 Meyers St. in Batesville.
