Mildred Charlene Mann, 85, of Newport departed this life Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, at St. Michael’s Place in Newport.
She was born May 27, 1935, in Algoa, the daughter of George Daniel Miller and Mellisa Ashley Miller.
Mann owned and operated the Country Shack Restaurant for many years. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, and flower and vegetable gardening.
She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who would do anything for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Windon Fletcher Mann; and her sons, Keith Lynn Mann and Danny Wayne Mann.
She is survived by her sons, George Mann of Beedeville and Ricky Mann of Beedeville; her daughter, Paula Tidwell of Bartlett, Tennessee; her brothers, Hershel Miller of Newport, G.D. Miller of Missouri, Norman Miller of Little Rock, and Billy Miller of Tennessee; and a sister, Betty Carlew of Newport; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, at Balch-Johnston cemetery.
