Obituary: Wyveda Farmer Wilson Mabry

Wyveda Farmer Wilson Mabry, 95 of Batesville passed away Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021.

She was born Sept. 4, 1925, in Star City, Arkansas to Sam and Mary Farmer, the oldest of thirteen children.

She owned and operated Wyveda’s Beauty Shop in Cave City for 23 years.  After retiring, she was known as Nanny to many children in her daughter’s daycare.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Estel Wilson, and Johnnie Mabry; son, Jimmy Wilson; daughter, Donelle Wilson; sons-in-law, E.A. James, and Jerry Durham; great-granddaughter, Nichole Brady Smith; grandson-in-law, Robert Brady; sister, Catherine Simpson and brothers, Richard Farmer, Johnny Farmer, Gene Farmer, Howard Farmer, Rayburn Farmer, Sam Farmer, James Farmer, and Bill Farmer.

Survivors include daughters, Connie Durham and Robin Tate (Ricky) both of  Batesville; grandchildren, Sherri James Brady, Jessica McGaha (Mike), and Matthew Tate (Samantha) all of Batesville;  great-grandchildren, Shaun McGaha (Sharonda), Brandon McGaha, Bryr Tate, Kyrin Tate, and Casey Smith.; great-great-grandchildren, Madyson Gardner, Aiden Smith, Annabelle McGaha, Jack Smith, Benjamin Smith, and Sawyer Smith; sisters, Marilyn Roux of Batesville and Barbara Wilkenson of California; brother, Bobby Farmer of Florida; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Weaver’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with Shaun McGaha officiating.

Burial will follow in the Weaver’s Chapel Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.

Pallbearers will be Brandon McGaha, Mike McGaha, Casey Smith, Matthew Tate, Ricky Tate, and Gary Tate.
