Mountain Yellowjackets took on the Harding Wildcats on the road Friday night

Friday night at Harding Academy High School, the Mountain View Lady Yellowjackets outscored the Harding Academy Lady Wildcats 32-10 in the second and third quarters combined to take a commanding 45-18 lead into the final period of play.

They would build the lead to 30 late in the final quarter and defeat the Lady Wildcats 54-25.

The Lady ‘Jackets remained unbeaten in conference play improving to 12-0, while Harding Academy dropped to 8-4.

Mountain View was led by Chaelann Vickers who had 16 points and five steals, Josie Storey added 14 points and seven rebounds, Aubrey Isbell and Emry Johnson each added 10 points.

Callie Citty led Harding Academy with 12 points, Kloey Fullerton added eight points.

In the senior boys game, Harding Academy outscored Mountain View 23-3 in the final seven minutes of play to turn an 11 point deficit to a nine-point lead and defeat the Yellowjackets 58-49.
Mountain View had led the entire game up to that point, jumping out to a 10-0 lead at the start of the game, increasing the lead to 15 in the second half, but Harding Academy’s second-half defensive pressure was the turning point in the game as Harding Academy improved to 7-2 in conference play and Mountain View dropped to 2-10.
Brayden Scribner led the Yellowjackets with 16 points and nine rebounds, Elijah Carlton added 12 points, Beck Morrow had nine points, and Kaedn Henderson earned six points.
The Wildcats were led by Cade Smith with 12 points, Ty Dugger and Caden Sipe each added 11 points, Eli Wallis added nine points, and Jackson Fox had seven points.
All four teams will meet again on Tuesday night Feb. 2 at Mountain View.
