Obituary: Mona Lisa (Blake) Hobbs

Mona Lisa Hobbs, 64, of Floral, departed from this walk of life on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, at her home.

She was born in Lepanto on June 14, 1956, to Floyd and Lille (Williams) Blake.

Mona loved to help people and during her working years, she helped families with taking care of their homes and businesses.  She loved flowers and working outside was her favorite pastime especially raking leaves.  She was independent and strong-willed.  Her family was especially important to her, and she enjoyed spending time with them.

Mona was a member of Lifeline Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains.  She was very faithful and a strong believer in the Lord.

Mona is survived by her children, Robert Hobbs and his wife, Bethany, of Floral; Lisa Hobbs (Chris) of Floral, Randi Harper (Tyrone), of Batesville; her brothers, Floyd Blake, Jr. of Pacific, MO, Robert Joe Blake, of Illinois, Edward Spivey, of Hot Springs, Tim Blake, of Sulphur Rock, twin brothers, Lloyd and Boyd Blake, of Hutchinson Mountain; her sisters, Linda West, of Jonesboro, Martha Elms, of Spring Mill, Ann Henry, of Hutchinson Mountain; grandchildren, Haley Shanks, Terran Harper, Destiny Hobbs, Bryon Stain, Kaylee Hobbs, Deven Hobbs, Harley Jones, Randy James Hobbs, II, Briar Hobbs; great-grandchildren, Jacelyn Shanks, Brayson Bittle, Briley Burrow, Blakelyn Harper; her first love and lifelong friend, Randy Hobbs; mother-in-law, Ruthie Hobbs, several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Teresha Parmer and Barbara Jean Blake.

A Funeral Service will be held at Lifeline Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains, Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Timothy Altom and Bro. David Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery on Hutchinson Mountain.

Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 22, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service, 2180 Batesville Blvd, Southside.

Pallbearers will be Randy Sample, Jimmy Thomas, Jeff Frazier, Brent Hughes, Ricky Gould, and Wesley Green.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mikey Green, Brad Swain, Jeff Helms, Terran Harper, Bryon Stain, Deven Hobbs, Becky West, Randy James Hobbs, II, and Briar Hobbs.

We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines.  Attendees are required to wear face coverings and social distancing will be practiced.
