Three men receive sentences in a recent session of Stone County Circuit Court

Three men received prison sentences during a recent session of Stone County Circuit Court.

Eric D. Adamson, 40, was sentenced to 60 months in prison and 60 months suspended sentence.

On July 14, 2020, Adamson was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, committed second-degree forgery, and theft of property.

In addition to the prison time, Adamson was fined $2,500 plus court and associated costs, all totaling $3,665.

The court credited Adamson with 123 days against his jail time for the number of days he spent incarcerated awaiting his negotiated plea of guilty.

The court also sent Travis Cagle, 41, to state prison.

Cagle entered a negotiated plea of guilty to two charges: breaking or entering and theft of
property.

Cagle was sentenced to 120 months in prison and fined $1,000 plus $170 dollars in court costs.

And, Richie L. McCarroll, 29, entered a negotiated plea of guilty to possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

McCarroll was sentenced to 84 months in prison and fined $2,500 plus court costs for a total of $3,145.

McCarroll was also credited with 149 days he spent in jail awaiting trial and his negotiated guilty plea.
