Dr. Cheryl Bell has been appointed to represent Cave City on the advisory board of the Northeast Arkansas (NEA) Regional Intermodal Authority by Mayor Jonas Anderson.

The authority is a group of area counties, cities, and other entities working to bring economic development opportunities to the area.

“I am very excited, and grateful, to announce Dr. Bell as our first appointment to the NEA Regional Intermodal Authority board,” said Mayor Anderson. “Her expertise and her passion for our community will be a terrific asset to the authority’s mission. I am thankful she stepped forward to serve in this important role.”

“I am the fifth generation of my family living in the Cave City area,” said Dr. Bell. “I live on a farm that my great-great-grandfather purchased. This community and area not only mean a lot to me, but also defines much of who I am today. I am honored to be included with a group such as the NEA Intermodal Authority. This group will work to bring economic development not just to our area, but also to northeast Arkansas. We want individuals to come to our community, raise a family, and earn a living. This is something very near to my heart. I hope I can use what talents I have to make these goals a reality for our community.”
