A Star City, Ark. man has been charged with allegedly attacking and beating a 75-year-old man at an area RV park.

According to papers filed earlier this week in Stone County Circuit Court, Drew Tyler Luker, 24, is charged with second-degree battery against Robert Ashmore, 75, in an altercation that occurred early Monday morning, April 5.

Court records say Luker attacked Ashmore when the two had returned to the RV together after Ashmore had picked up Luker in Star City to deliver a vehicle back to the area.

Mountain View Police Officer Gavin Prince reported Luker was apparently intoxicated when the officer arrived on the scene, according to the court information.

Prosecutors are also asking Luker be charged as a habitual offender, having been previously convicted of felonies in Lincoln County, Arkansas, and Shreveport, La.
