Scott Lancaster with the Humane Society of Independence County (HSIC) recently stopped by the White River Now family of radio stations to visit about the newly rebranded HSIC thrift store, Fleaman Barkus.

The non-profit HSIC has long operated the Bargain Hound Boutique on Ramsey Street. Renamed Fleaman Barkus for its new location, the thrift store now has four to five times more space than the Bargain Hound Boutique. The extra space will allow for donations of not only clothing, but also larger items such as furniture and appliances.

Fleaman Barkus (pictured above) is located at 480 S. Central Ave., next to Carpet Corner, in Batesville. Donations are always welcome. For more information on Fleaman Barkus, call (870) 793-8118 or visit its Facebook page by clicking here.
