Obituary: Steve Kramer

Steve Kramer, 68, of Rosie passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021.

He was born on May 5, 1953, in Batesville, Arkansas to Cecil Clyde ”Jack” Kramer and Genevieve (Hazelrigg) Kramer.

Steve was a member of Rosie Baptist Church. He was a quiet, gentle, and very private person. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He always said ”Building rock walls was cheaper than therapy.” Steve worked for Eastman Chemical for almost 30 years.

Survivors include his son, Statler Kramer of Fayetteville; daughter, Ashley Jackson, and husband, Bradley of Conway; three brothers, Bill Kramer of Little Rock, Tommy Kramer (Debbie) of Rosie, and Bobby Kramer (Cynthia) of Rosie; two sisters, Beth Ligon of Franklin, Tennessee and Mary Goodman of Rosie; two grandchildren, Kinley Jackson, and Connor Jackson; special friend, Carol Gifford of Rosie; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kay (Barnes) Kramer; and an infant brother.

Pallbearers are Chip Carter, Todd Carter, Luke Kramer, David Pankey, Landon Kramer, and Jeremy Poyner. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Kramer, Bill Gramig, and Jim Burnett.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Rosie Baptist Church with Ferrell Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Egner Cemetery in Salado under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2021, at the funeral home.
