Crystal Johnson (pictured), president and CEO of the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, told the Batesville Rotary Club Monday the chamber will be entering into a contract with the City of Batesville to further economic development.
The city issued a Request for Qualifications recently and the chamber responded. And last Tuesday, the Batesville City Council accepted the chamber’s proposal.
Johnson expects the contract to be signed this week. As with some other chambers around the state, the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce will be paid for their economic development work. That figure should be available after the contract is signed.
