Sheriff: Two bodies found in Ramsey Slough

UPDATE, May 24, 2021, 10:30 a.m.: Independence County Sheriff Shawn Stephens has released the identification of two bodies found in Ramsey Slough on Sunday.

The male has been identified as Clifford Timbs, 50, and the female as Pamela Brooks, 50. Both individuals resided together. The cause of death is still pending. The next of kin has been notified.

Two bodies were found in Ramsey Slough on Sunday.

Independence County Sheriff Shawn Stephens said in a release Sunday evening that the Independence County Sheriff’s Department and Arkansas Game and Fish officers responded to Ramsey Slough for two bodies in the water close to a boat.

The bodies, a male and a female, were recovered from the water, along with the boat.

Both bodies have been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine the exact cause of death.
