Batesville man killed in two-vehicle accident at Sulphur Rock

A Batesville man died in a two-vehicle accident in Sulphur Rock Tuesday.

According to the Arkansas State Police report, a vehicle driven by Nicholas B. Warner, 23, was stopped at the intersection of South Vaughan Street and Highway 69 when it attempted to cross the highway, failed to yield, and pulled into the path of another vehicle heading south on 69.

Warner’s vehicle overturned after it struck the right side of the oncoming vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle was reportedly not injured.

State Police Sgt. David Jones noted the road was wet, and it was raining at the time of the accident.
