Obituary: Bruce Wayne Lasater

Bruce was received into glory on the afternoon of May 27, surrounded by his son Chris and daughter-in-law Debbie and Bruce’s best friends Bob and Gala Davis.

Bruce was born and raised in Bakersfield, California, and attended South High School, Class of 1964. Bruce was drafted into the Army and served in Vietnam from 1966-1967. Bruce worked in the fields of heating and air, sheet metal, construction, and electrical. Bruce loved spending time with JJ fishing.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Vivian Lasater, and his brother, Hugh Lasater.

Bruce is survived by his sons, Chris and wife Debbie Lasater, Cameron Lasater, Breck, and wife Alisha Lasater; brother Gary and wife Sherri Lasater; sisters, Ramona Bush, Charlotte Poteet, Linda Letourneau and husband Tommy; sister-in-law, Beverly Lasater and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and good friends.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Batesville Oncology for taking care of Bruce.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 11, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at Roller Crouch Chapel.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Roller Crouch Chapel 405 South Peabody Mountain View, AR 72560. Pallbearers are Chris Lasater, Gary Lasater, Cameron Lasater, Breck Lasater, Bob Davis, and JJ Cary.

Military honors rendered by the United States Army Funeral Honors Team and the Stone County Honor Guard.
