No word yet from the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office concerning the cause of death of the couple found near their boat in Ramsey Slough, according to Independence County Sheriff Shawn Stephens.

The sheriff said he has yet to receive a report from the examiner’s office regarding autopsies of Pamela Brooks, 50, and Clifford Timbs, 50.

The couple was found by a fisherman who came upon the bodies in the water close to their boat on May 23.

Stephens said it could take 30-to-60 days for the autopsy results to return, depending on the volume of work at the office.
