Obituary: Mildred Pearl Isley

Mildred Pearl Milligan Isley, 93, of Batesville went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 5, 2021, in Batesville.

She was born on February 3, 1928, in Batesville, Arkansas to George Leroy and Lucy Carmen Patterson Milligan.

She was a member of the Harrison Street Church of Christ and was a 1978 graduate of the Gateway Vo-tech school for retail selling. She spent many years working for Barnett Brothers on Main Street in Batesville and then went on to work in dietary at White River Medical Center from where she retired. She enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards, loving on her dog, Mallard, playing bingo, cooking, and reading romantic novels and mysteries.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer Henry Isley; her daughter, Carol Jean Roach (Terry); one infant son, Gary Isley; one infant daughter, Mary Isley; brothers, Owen Milligan and Virgil (Dick) Milligan; sisters, Margaret Nell Milligan, Ruby Milligan Smith, and Betty Milligan Duncan; and one great-grandson, Charles Gunner Mason.

Survivors include one son, Rick Isley of Batesville; one brother, Harry Milligan of Little Rock; three grandsons, Chuck Mason (Alyce), Keith Mason (Patty), Gary Mason (Debbie); one granddaughter, Morgan Isley all of Batesville; two great-granddaughters, Tea Mason of Batesville and Leksey Mason of Florida; several bonus grandchildren and great-great children; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Mason, Keith Mason, Gary Mason, Tommy Duncan, James Duncan, and Danny Duncan. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Harrison Street Church of Christ and all of her BINGO buddies.

A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021 at 2:00 pm under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Steve Smith officiating.
