Obituary: Anna Mae Kealer McSpadden

Anna Mae Kealer McSpadden, 90, of Batesville died on June 12, 2021.

She was born on August 13, 1930, in Batesville to Fred P. and Annie (Bluerock) Kealer.

Anna Mae was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and a member of the ECW, the Altar Guild, and served as treasurer for the memorial fund for several years. She was also a long-time member of Batesville Junior Auxiliary. She was an inspirational woman who always had a positive attitude and loved her family. She loved to be outside, mowing or working in her flower garden. In her spare time, Anna Mae loved to collect antiques. She was a great cook, loved music, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and was proud of her family heritage.

She is survived by two sons, Allan McSpadden, Scott McSpadden (Jacqui), both of Batesville; one brother, Louis Kealer, Sr. of Batesville; three grandchildren, Will McSpadden, Colten McSpadden (Katherine), Caitlin McSpadden, all of Batesville; three great-grandchildren, Charlee Kate Vaugier, Drake Scott McSpadden, Anna McSpadden due in October and several nieces and nephews.

Anna Mae is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne McSpadden; two brothers, George Kealer Sr., and Fred “Peck” Kealer, one sister, Rose Dozier, and a great-grandson, Rylan McSpadden.

Pallbearers are Will McSpadden, Colten McSpadden, Charlie Vaugier, Danny Dozier, Tim Dozier and Dr. David Allen.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery with Father Jim McDonald officiating. Reception to follow at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall.
