Thelma Inez Acklin, 79 of Cave City passed away Monday, June 14, 2021.
She was born Feb. 1, 1942, in Bakersfield, California to Harvey and Ethel Allender Mathes. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leon Acklin; two brothers, Leon Mathes and Edward Mathes, and two sisters, Mildred Osborne and Delpha Ford.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Blevins (James) of Violet Hill and Joyce Hill of Cave City; one sister, Laverne Gilbert of Pleasant Plains; four grandchildren, Jasse Brown, Cara Brown, Krissy Nichols, and Tyler McKown; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Saturday, June 19, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Barnes Cemetery in Batesville with Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating. Arrangements are by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
