Figures from the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration show the state’s medical marijuana market has seen more than 50,000 pounds in sales — valued at $338.5 million — since the state’s first dispensary opened about two years ago. That’s according to a Talk Business & Politics article posted online earlier this week.

Sales tax revenue from the state’s medical marijuana dispensaries has totaled just under $34 million in those two years, with most of the revenue being placed in the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences National Cancer Designation Trust Fund, the article noted.

The article also noted there are currently 33 dispensaries operating in Arkansas while Arkansas Department of Health figures show over 77,600 active patient cards.

Also of note from the article — the state’s top five dispensaries with the most medical marijuana sales (in order):

  • Releaf Center in Bentonville
  • Green Springs Medical in Hot Springs
  • Natural Relief Dispensary in Sherwood
  • Suite 443 in Hot Springs
  • Acanza in Fayetteville
