Bailey, previously a loan portfolio analyst for Citizens Bank, will take on this new role with an increased focus on new loan production and management of individual loans in the central Arkansas region, the bank said.

“Michael is a key member of the central Arkansas lending team,” said Vernon Scott, central Arkansas market president. “His background, knowledge, and expertise make him a perfect fit for this position.”

“I am excited to step into this new role and work more directly with customers. Reporting on a larger portfolio structure is fascinating to me,” said Bailey. “In my new role as AVP portfolio manager, I’ll be even more focused on learning the stories of our customers and building those relationships.”

Bailey attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington and received a bachelor’s in mathematics with a focus on statistics. He and his wife have two children.

Herndon, previously a retail manager for Citizens Bank, will serve the north central Arkansas region in his new role as assistant vice president retail manager/consumer loan officer at the Citizens Bank headquarters location in Batesville. Herndon will take on more responsibility for retail service and operations in his new role.

“Aaron has a diverse banking background with experience in lending and retail functions. He has worked hard to train and develop his associates in order to provide excellent customer service,” said Katherine Harris, VP North Central Arkansas Market Retail Manager. “Aaron’s knowledge, hard work, and expertise in these areas will be instrumental for the continued growth and success of the headquarters location.”

Herndon has been a dedicated teammate at Citizens Bank for 15 years and displayed leadership and team cultivation skills throughout the years, the bank said.

“I am excited to continue carrying out Citizen Bank’s mission of ‘People First’ in this position,” said Herndon. “I look forward to putting my years of experience and team development skills into my new role. Supporting my team and providing exceptional customer service will continue to be my priorities.”

Herndon graduated from Barrett Banking School and received his associate’s of applied science with a focus in business services banking and finance. He is an active member of the Batesville community and serves on the board for the Batesville Area Arts Council and is a chamber ambassador.
