A building in west Batesville that was the home of a longtime restaurant, Sweden Creme, was destroyed by fire early Sunday morning.
The building on Central Avenue was the location of the local burger restaurant for years before closing. In the past decade, it’s served as a home for a few more restaurants and, until recently, apparently housed a fabrication business.
Batesville businessman Thomas “T.W. Cooper” operated Sweden Creme for many years before it was sold. Cooper passed away in 2016.
