Ronnie Dale Harness, of Mountain View, was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He peacefully passed from this world and into the arms of Jesus on July 12, 2021, surrounded by his family, at the age of 63.

He was born on Oct. 14, 1957, at Cross County Hospital in Wynne, Arkansas, to Annabelle and Eugene Harness.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jamie Lane Harness; his two sons, Peter (Amber) and Jacob (Courteney), his grandsons Tanner and Dexter, and 3 siblings, Bill, Sandra, and Phyllis.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Harness, step-father, Charles “Chuck” Treece, mother, Annabelle Harness-Treece, and brother, Harold Gene “Pete” Harness.

Ronnie spent his life farming and logging but was probably best known for his outstanding ability as a sawyer. He spent many years at various sawmills perfecting his craft.

During this time, he made many lifelong friends.

Ronnie was a joy to be around, and his contagious laugh brought joy to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was always willing to help anyone in any way and selflessly gave his time whenever needed.

He loved his family, especially his two grandsons, Dexter and Tanner, who were the light of his life.

Ronnie loved the Lord and was saved at an early age in a small church in Cherry Valley, Arkansas. As an adult, he knew the importance of leading his family in the way he knew God wanted him to lead them and instilled in them those same values.

He attended Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, a place that he held near and dear to his heart.

Ronnie was loved and respected by many and will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
