Stephen Lee Gonyer of Tupelo, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, July 16, 2021, at the age of 72. He was born Nov. 12, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Clyde and Edna (Alan) Gonyer.
Gonyer was a retired dairy worker and mechanic. He was a graduate of Redford Union High School. Gonyer was of the Lutheran belief. He had served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
He enjoyed working on hot rods and taking care of his yard and dogs. Mr. Gonyer was a hard-working, good and kind man. His family meant everything to him.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Montambo) Gonyer: and his parents, Cylde Gonyer and Edna (Alan) Odom.
Gonyer is survived by his daughter, Ashlee Marie Gonyer of Elgin; one brother, Roy Alan Gonyer of Batesville; one sister, Ruth Ladd of Newport; one grandchild, Taya Emory of Tuckerman; one great-grandchild, Shaelynn Emory of Tuckerman; and a lifetime of friends.
