Based on the weekly report from the Izard County Sheriff’s Office, forty percent of the arrests made in the county last week were alcohol-related. Half of that forty percent were arrests involving driving while intoxicated.

The report shows those arrested on DWI counts were put on bonds of $1,790 each.

Other Izard County arrests from last week involved various violations of the law — including driving on a suspended license, probation violation, harassing communications, third-degree battery, fictitious tags, no proof of vehicle insurance, and disorderly conduct.

All of those arrested will appear in Izard County District Court and answer to the charges against them.
