A White County woman is in jail after the shooting death of a Judsonia man.

In a Facebook post, the White County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a frantic 911 call regarding a shooting victim at a Judsonia residence on July 27.

According to the sheriff’s office, when authorities arrived on the scene, they were met by Jennifer O’Neill, 47, who directed them inside the home. There, the sheriff’s office said, is where they found Patrick Allen O’Neill, 53, deceased with an apparent gunshot wound.

A crime scene was immediately established, and the White County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigation Division responded and began a criminal investigation.

The body of Mr. O’Neill was removed from the scene by the White County Coroner’s Office and has been transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for a forensic autopsy.

Jennifer O’Neill was booked on the charge of capital murder, a Class Y felony. A White County judge ordered no bond and a court date of Sept. 7 at 9 a.m.

This case is still under investigation and a criminal case file will be submitted to the White County Prosecutor’s Office, according to the sheriff’s department.
