A registered sex offender who is allegedly delinquent in verifying his registration has been arrested and jailed, according to authorities.

The Independence County Circuit Court record says the Batesville Police Department was alerted via a letter from the Arkansas Crime Information Center that Zachary Neal Butler (pictured below in his booking photo from the Independence County Sheriff’s Department), 35, has not verified his residency in a timely manner and could be in violation of the Sex Offender Registration Act. He is required to verify his registration in person every six months, his arrest affidavit noted.

Butler’s bond was set at $10,000.
