Searcy man dies in one-vehicle accident Wednesday

A single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in rural White County has left a Searcy man dead.

According to the Arkansas State Police preliminary fatal crash summary, a 2000 International Harvester driven by Israel Meza, 52, of Searcy was traveling east on West Booth Road in rural White County when the vehicle exited the roadway to the right near a deep ditch. The Harvester’s front passenger side and the top cab area then crashed into a large tree. Meza was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The report notes the weather conditions were clear, and the road was dry at the time of the accident.
