Obituary: Rose Marie Taylor-Caldwell

Rose Marie Taylor-Caldwell, 70, of Batesville, Arkansas left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on August 21, 2021.

She was born Aug. 16, 1951, in Aubrey, Arkansas to James Earl Jackson, Sr. and Oma Leona (Burch) Jackson.

Rose was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church; she attended the nursery and did custodial work at the church as well. She was a generous person who enjoyed helping others and was a lover of life. She loved to shop and collected Elvis paraphernalia.

She is survived by her son, Tony (Shonda) Caldwell; her daughter, Saundri (Jeff) Ashcraft; sister, Louiza Elvonda Jones; five grandchildren, Devin Caldwell, Heather Caldwell, Rachel Caldwell, Stevbo Hawkins, and Erica Harris; two nephews, Dennis Easley and Tony Jones; two nieces, Carolyn Clemons and Teresa Amos; and a host of other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Randal Taylor; her daughter, Candy Marie Hawkins; three brothers, Johnny Burch, Kenneth Jackson, and James Earl Jackson, Jr.; and two sisters, Jo Wanda Wilkerson and Blanche Easley; and granddaughter, Sarah Grace Caldwell.

Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021, at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Brother Bob Daily officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Springs Cemetery in Star City, Arkansas.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday just prior to service.
