Obituary: Willis Dean Ash

Willis Dean Ash, 90, of Desha died Sept. 2, 2021.

He was born Aug. 7, 1931, in Lepanto, Arkansas to Thomas and Dovie (Fuller) Ash.

Willis was married to his wife for 67 years and was a wonderful husband, caregiver, and father. He was a quiet, but wonderful man who was a retired feed truck driver for JK Southerland and ConAgra for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife, whom he married on Oct. 4, 1953, Joy-Ann (Pruden) Ash of the home; two sons, Johnny Lee Ash of Salado and Roy Dean Ash of Desha; one daughter, Sherry Lou Seeley (Noel) of Desha; one sister, Rosie Sophie of Illinois; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren with two more on the way, and several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Danny Ray Ash; two brothers, J.D. and Orville Ash, and three sisters, Charlotte Yates, Emma Jean Herndon, and Pauline Stinson

Pallbearers are Jordan Harder, Hunter Dildine, Shaun Campbell, Michael Franks, and Noel Seeley.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Alderbrook Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Assembly of God, 549 Heber Springs Rd, Batesville, AR 72501.
