Authorities report a female was found deceased in a local apartment on Wednesday.
According to a release from the Batesville Police Department, officers were dispatched to an apartment on Thunderbird Drive for a welfare check. After entering the apartment by way of management, the officers discovered the body. Investigators were called to the scene and are currently investigating, the release said.
No names will be released until all family has been contacted. The body will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy.
