After a tough loss last week, the Melbourne Bearkatz looked to bounce back on the road this week, taking their longest scheduled road trip off the season to take on the England Lions.

It didn’t take long for the Katz offense to score, even with the wet conditions.

Trey Wren ran for a 35-yard touchdown on the fourth offensive play of the game to open the scoring, after recovering a poor punt snap, Melbourne had a short field, and only needed six plays to score, as Carter Bray took it in from 23 yards out.

It was all Katz all night, taking a 33-0 lead into halftime and scoring one more touchdown in the second half to run the sportsmanship clock, winning by a final score of 40-0.

Melbourne improves to 3-1 on the year and opens conference play at home against Newport next Friday
