A man who had recently bonded out of jail after being charged with sexual assault involving a child is now back in jail on similar charges.

According to a release from the Stone County Sheriff’s Office, Chief Deputy Dammon McGilton took Allen K. Godfrey, 23, into custody on Sept. 20, 2021, arresting him at a job site near Fox, Ark.

Officials say the father of the alleged victim filed a complaint on Sept. 8 that Godfrey had been contacting a member of his family even though Godfrey was under a “No Contact” order and was subject to arrest if a violation occurred. After further investigation, authorities were able to get an order to revoke Godfrey’s bond, the release said.

The release said Godfrey admitted in a post-Miranda statement to contacting the minor through the Facebook Messenger app and other means for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity, and that he had sexual contact at least twice in August 2021.

Godfrey is facing a felony count of internet stalking of a child and two felony counts of fourth-degree sexual assault.

Bond was set on Godfrey in the amount of $300,000.
