Obituary: Elizabeth Garrick

Elizabeth Ann (Metcalf) Garrick of Batesville, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, at the age of 87. She was born March 2, 1934, in Bradford, the daughter of Joe and Edna (Brinkley) Metcalf.

Garrick retired from AT&T, and was a member of the Oil Trough Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and dancing when she was younger. Mrs. Garrick especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Freund; three brothers, B.J., J. B., and Arlon Edward Metcalf; and her parents.

Garrick is survived by her husband of 35 years, Martin Edward Garrick, Sr. of Batesville; three sons, Rodney D. Brady, and wife, Lorraine of Oil Trough, Terry Lee Brady and wife, Shirley of Maple Springs, and Marty Garrick and wife Mona of Malvern; three daughters, Brenda Kay Thompson and husband, James of Little Rock, Pamela J. Grubb of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, and Nina Cornish of Malvern; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Monday, at Oil Trough Church of Christ with Mr. Danny Blevins officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Springs Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church Monday, 1:00 p.m. until service time.
