The North Arkansas Dance Theatre’s (NADT) production of “The Nutcracker” returns to the stage this season. In 2020, NADT presented a modified version of the classic for company members only due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a release, NADT noted this will be the theatre’s 17th production of the classic Christmas ballet with costumes, sets, and a cast of over 90, from ages 5 through 70.

“We are so excited to be performing for the public again,” the theatre said in the release.

This production of “The Nutcracker” will feature visiting guest artist Abbi Robertson of Hot Springs as “The Sugar Plum Fairy.” Robertson attends Texas Christian University with a major in dance.

Tickets are available for sale ($15 adults/ $10 for children 11 and under) at the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Batesville Area Arts Council, Carlee’s Gold Crown Shop, and all three locations of the NADT Dance Academy.  Tickets will also be available at the door. All proceeds go directly to the non-profit organization, NADT.  Masks are required.

Performances will be Fri, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.;  Sat, Nov. 20 at 2:30 p.m.; and 7 p.m. at UACCB’s Independence Hall.
