First Community Bank has opened its Batesville operations center at 1401 Harrison St., beside the financial institution’s main bank. A grand opening for their new facility will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 16 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony beginning at 4:30 p.m. Immediately following the ribbon-cutting, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and tours of the facility will be provided.

While supplies last, attendees of the event will receive a free keepsake paperweight featuring an architectural rendering of the operations center. In addition, First Community will provide copies of a custom photo book featuring pictures from area photographers. The photos were submissions from a recent photography contest where photos were selected based on photographic appeal and relevance to Batesville and surrounding areas. First place winners received $200, and second place winners received $100 for each photo chosen.

The artwork that will be featured in the photo books has also been selected for the interior décor of the bank. Artists include: Vicente Alamos, David Birmingham, Kris Caraway, Joshua Carlson, Kyle Christopher, Kelli Clark, Kali Combs, Glenn Edwards, Chad Graves, Julie Graves, Hunter Hall, Brittney Harris, Tammy Hix, Travis Hon, James Lay, Laura Morris, Bryce Paxson, James Rossetti, Kristy Shockley, Shelby Simpson, Mike Smith, Keith Sturch, Gena Tate, Misty Wilson, and Mike West. Also, featured in the children’s rooms are a mural painted by Kathryn Cole and canvases painted by Sophia and Jayla Cole.

Flynco, Inc., of Little Rock, was the contractor for the project in addition to several local subcontractors. The three-story operations center is approximately 28,809 sq. ft. and is connected to the main bank by a 170 ft. sky bridge over 14th Street. The building complex provides space for 125 employees.
