J. B. Milligan, 98 of Batesville passed away Monday, November 22, 2021. He was born November 24, 1922, in Batesville, Arkansas. He was the son of Arvil and Mary Milligan Millspaugh. He was a retired Church of Christ minister having served at numerous churches throughout Arkansas and Missouri and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jessie Bridgman Milligan; one son, David Milligan; three brothers, Jack Millspaugh, Jimmy Millspaugh and Berle Millspaugh and three sisters, Wanda Sherrill, Merle Christilli and Patsy Long.
Survivors include one daughter, Debbie Wade of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one brother, Jerry Millspaugh of Charlotte; two granddaughters, Amie Birdsong of Little Rock and Lindsay Haivala of Midwest City, Oklahoma; five great-grandchildren, Braden Birdsong, Ally Birdsong, Gage Birdsong, Hayden Haivala and Halle Haivala; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Ted Knight officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
