Obituary: Gean R. Hudspeth

Gean R. Hudspeth, 93 of West Plains, Missouri (formerly of Evening Shade) passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021.  She was born September 8, 1928, in Sandtown, Arkansas to Neal and Nellie Russ Roach.  She was a truck driver, factory worker, and homemaker. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a member of the Sidney Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Willard “Buck” Rush and Harvey Hudspeth; one brother, Jackie Don Roach, and two granddaughters, Tina Anderson and Libby McCune.

Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Anderson of Fort Smith; one half-brother, Calvin Roach of Conway; one half-sister, Leann Roach of Conway; three stepdaughters, Jill McCune (Jim) and Rebecca L. Dash (Dennis) both of Noblesville, Indiana and Bonnie S. Neidus (Andy) of Beachwood, Ohio; five grandchildren, Shannon Bates of Beachwood, Ohio, Keith Anderson (Stephanie) of Batesville, Scott Anderson (Janet) of Rudy, Chris Dash (Cory) of Noblesville, Indiana and Joshua Neidus (Brittany) of Beachwood, Ohio; six great grandchildren, Paige Garner and Justin Garner of Batesville, Brandon Sumner of Austin, Texas, Austin Anderson and Michelle Anderson of Fort Smith and Audra Anderson of Rudy; one great great grandchild, Brinley Garner of Batesville; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with David Langston officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lee’s Chapel Cemetery in Sandtown, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Matt Hudspeth, Brandon Sumner, Austin Anderson, Scott Anderson, Dale Weaver, and Justin Garner.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Terry Burns, Keith Anderson, and Davis Roush.
