State Police ID man found deceased in Wynne drainage ditch

Arkansas State Police now have the identity of a man whose remains were found in Wynne earlier this week. (Click here for the original story.)

According to a Wednesday afternoon media release, special agents of the state police were notified by the state medical examiner that the remains of the body found on Nov. 28 in a ditch have been identified as those of Howard Earl Holmes (pictured), 70, of Wynne.

Authorities say the investigation into Holmes’ death is continuing. Anyone with information about Holmes’ whereabouts dating back as far as Nov. 2, 2021, is asked to contact the Arkansas State Police or the Wynne Police Department.
