The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) has announced plans to launch the revised IMPACT Independence County strategic plan at its Annual Meeting serving as the official Impact Launch Party.

The event, presented by First Community Bank, will be held at the Batesville Community Center on Friday, Jan. 28, 2022.

Other event partners with First Community Bank are the Hampton Inn, Peco Foods, the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB), and the White River Health System.

“Partnerships like these allow us to bring our members and community together to celebrate the progress and accomplishments made since the initial launch of IMPACT in 2015,” said BACC Chief Operating Officer Jamie Rayford.

According to a release from BACC, IMPACT is a grassroots community development plan that aims to reimagine the county and its future — characterized by intentional and sustainable economic prosperity, educational preparation that cultivates talent, the healthiest minds and bodies, and places that inspire people and promote happiness.

“We weren’t able to host last year’s event, and that makes this year’s celebration that much more anticipated. We are excited to honor achievements and our community’s contributions over the last five years and launch the revised plan,” said Rayford. “The launch of the plan marks the official start of the next five years of work alongside our members and partners as we create the future they have envisioned.”

Guests will enjoy the IMPACT Launch Party’s theme focused on the bright future of Independence County and immersive experiences that represent community assets and future opportunities, the chamber said in the release.

General admission tickets include dinner and entertainment for a $150 donation. Table reservations are also available and include exclusive VIP service.
