Norman Hartsel Williams, 84, of Batesville, departed from this life on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

He was born in Clinchport, Virginia on July 29, 1937, to Harmon and Belle Kindle Williams. He was united in marriage to Hope Frank on December 1, 1967, in Gate City, Virginia and they enjoyed over fifty-four years of marriage.

He retired from the Arkansas Eastman Chemical Company after forty years and then retired again from Home Depot. He was a member of Ramsey Heights Baptist Church.

He enjoyed gardening, watching wrestling, and loved western movies especially those by Louis L’Armour.

He is survived by his wife, Hope, of the home; son, Bryan Williams (Tina), of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Ginger Williams, of Batesville; sister, Kate Livesay, of Kingsport, Tennessee; grandchildren, Shiloh Williams, Cierra Frazier, Christian Williams, Christina Williams; great-grandchild, Cannon Williams; nephew, Rex Allen Williams, (Lesa) of Springdale, great-nephew and nieces, Arielle, Ianna, Joshua, Brody; other extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Rex Williams (Vivian), several brothers and sisters, and a niece, Rochelle Shelton.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022, in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service, 2180 Batesville Blvd, Southside, Arkansas at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Brian Coats officiating. Burial will follow the service in Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville.

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until service time.

Pallbearers will be Dave Branscum, Norman Branscum, Joey Richardson, Scott Williams, Gary Davis, and Randy Shane.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Anderson, Roy Morgan, Jordan Branscum, Rex Williams, Farrell Harris, Christian Williams, Josh Williams, and Danny Watson.
